People often talk about climate change and global warming, but what do these words really mean? The Earth has a natural “blanket” of gases around it called greenhouse gases. The good news is that we can all help. At home, we can save electricity by turning off lights, air conditioners, TVs, and computers when we are not using them. We can choose energy-saving bulbs and try to walk or share a car when possible. These small actions may seem simple, but together they can help to reduce the harmful effects of climate change and protect our planet for future generations.
